About The Position

We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Residential Sales Consultant to join our team covering the downtown Chicago market. In this outside sales role, you will meet directly with homeowners to provide tailored window and door replacement solutions. Through in-home consultations and a structured sales process, you will assess customer needs, present premium product solutions, and guide homeowners confidently through their purchasing decisions. This role is ideal for a motivated self-starter who thrives on relationship-building, closing sales, and generating referrals. You’ll have the autonomy of a home-based office, the earning potential of uncapped commission, and the support of a trusted brand.

  • Comfortable learning technical product information related to residential construction
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, mobile technology, and CRM systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of sales experience (or equivalent combination)
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and customer-facing demeanor
  • Ability to travel locally within the Chicago area (showrooms, job sites, customer homes)
  • Comfortable with physical activity including driving, walking job sites, and occasional lifting

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual sales and customer satisfaction goals
  • Conduct in-home consultations using a structured sales process
  • Identify customer needs and recommend customized solutions
  • Drive toward first-visit closes, with effective follow-up as needed
  • Generate self-sourced leads through networking, referrals, and community engagement
  • Prepare accurate quotes and orders following company procedures
  • Address customer concerns and partner with internal teams for resolution
  • Maintain availability for evening and weekend appointments
  • Stay current on product knowledge and market competition
  • Manage customer interactions using CRM and digital tools
  • Represent the company at events, home shows, and community engagements
