About The Position
Eliot is seeking a Relief Counselor to work with adults with brain injuries. The residential programs provide high-quality, innovative programming to help adults with brain injuries enhance their lives, develop skills, engage in community activities, and build supportive relationships. The role assists clients with daily living, safety, medical and physical needs, community integration, activities, appointments, and maintaining meaningful family and community connections. Various shifts are available. Benefits listed in the posting do not apply to relief positions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Experience working with adults with cognitive, behavioral, or developmental issues.
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license.
- Ability to drive the residence van.
- Must maintain a personally owned vehicle.
Nice To Haves
- Medication Administration certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with tasks of daily living, including personal care, meals, and ambulation.
- Ensure a safe living environment by providing interventions and assistance to maintain safety.
- Support clients in integrating into their communities by helping them use community resources, encouraging memberships, and fostering personal relationships.
- Assist clients with medical and physical needs.
- Help clients participate in activities, attend medical appointments, and maintain meaningful family and community connections.
