About The Position

Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities? Join our team as a Registered Nurse responsible for monitoring the safety and well-being of persons served in our IDD residential services program. As a Registered Nurse, you'll conduct monthly health assessments, communicate with the client's support team, ensure staff supervision and training, and complete documentation and reporting requirements. Our ideal candidate has a current Missouri RN license, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in crisis situations. Requirements

  • Must be a currently registered, licensed registered nurse in the State of Missouri
  • Current Missouri RN license
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Ability to operate calmly in a crisis
  • Positive attitude when working with others
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document monthly head to toe assessments of each residential client
  • Maintain communication with agency management and the client's support team
  • Report and document changes in client's health status and needs
  • Consult with supervisors regarding emergent care and acute medical needs
  • Ensure staff supervision/delegation and specialized instruction are conducted and documented
  • Complete monthly service logs, ensure authorized units are delivered, and attend required trainings
  • Conduct Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) assessments every 3-6 months
  • Provide Level 1 Med Aide training to employees, if assigned
  • Complete Health Risk Screening Tool (HRST) duties, if assigned
  • Assist in responding to HIPS reviews, Mortality reviews, and other nursing reviews
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, and act as an advocate for persons served
  • Complete other duties as assigned
