About The Position

UCP Heartland is seeking a PART-TIME RESIDENTIAL DSP (Direct Support Professional). UCP Heartland offers a positive, team driven, work environment at $21.00/Hour. As a DSP (Direct Care Provider), you will perform responsibilities such as providing physical assistance with daily tasks, assisting with personal hygiene, and facilitating fun activities. You will also follow medical orders and administer medications. Most importantly, you will provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings. As a Direct Support Professional, your work will make a difference in people’s lives 365 days a year! All UCP Heartland schedules/shifts are awake shifts.

Requirements

High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
Valid Drivers’ license
Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
Good written and oral communication skills
Computer Proficiency
Reliable transportation
Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Nice To Haves

Experience with Prader Willi Syndrome a plus
