Residential Property Inspector - New Bern, NC
About The Position
CrimsonBlu is seeking motivated, detail-oriented business owners and independent contractors in New Bern, North Carolina, to complete residential property inspections. This 1099 independent-contractor role is not an employee position. Contractors control how and when they complete accepted jobs, may work with other companies at the same time, and are responsible for their own taxes and any applicable business insurance. They may set their own hours and route, work with their own associates if available, and are paid per completed inspection. Service fees are paid monthly. Inspections involve traveling to properties for exterior and occasional interior underwriting inspections. Contractors explain the inspection to homeowners, capture required photos and data using a mobile web application, and use a camera pole for roof photos on applicable jobs. For interior and high-value inspections, contractors schedule appointments themselves. The role calls for accurate, timely, professional service and clear communication. Jobs are generally available during daylight hours Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays, based on customer expectations; contractors choose which days and how many jobs to accept. The estimated workload is half a working day per week, or one to two days per month.
