About The Position

The Residential Program Manager is responsible for performing a wide variety of supervisory activities as directed by the Program Director. The Residential Program Manager will maintain and monitor program execution at the site while also acting as a liaison for the Program Director and Staff. The Residential Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and incident reporting procedures. He/she will oversee and monitor all program logs and documentation. He/she will be responsible for sufficient number of staff to be on duty and available at all times to provide necessary and adequate safety and care. The Residential Program Manager will be expected to maintain and model, at all times, appropriate behavior and interactions for staff and clients. The Residential Program Manager will update the Program Director and staff of any relevant issues and/or tasks as needed. The Residential Program manager in conjunction with the Program Director is responsible for coordinating all outings and activities for clients when appropriate. He/she will supervise site and alarm maintenance. Residential Program Manager will be responsible for ongoing process improvement recommendations. All programmatic changes need to be communicated to and approved by the Program Director prior to implementation. The principal functions of the position identified shall not be considered as a complete description of all the work requirements and expectations that may be inherent in the position.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited university with a minimum of a Bachelors Degree preferred, and with at least four (4) years' experience in working with persons with Developmental Disabilities.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of the discipline.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Appropriate experience and administrative capabilities.
  • Maintains current annual training requirements.
  • Successfully complete all criminal background screens annually.
  • Must have a current and valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in American Sign Language desired.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor program execution at the site.

  • Coordinate all outings and activities for clients when appropriate.
  • Supervise site and alarm maintenance.
  • Make ongoing process improvement recommendations.
  • Maintain communication with staff and observe staff to monitor program strengths and weaknesses.
  • Administer effective and ongoing operations of the Developmental Disabilities services.
  • Provide supervision.
