Residential Program Manager, Barnstable MA
About The Position
In partnership with residential management, this role implements a comprehensive system of highly personalized residential supports which create a safe and therapeutic environment for program participants. The position involves ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, guiding the development and monitoring of treatment plans, and serving as a liaison with key state agencies. The role also includes providing mandatory trainings, reviewing critical reports, and offering rotational weekend and evening on-call coverage. The Residential Program Manager is a mandated reporter for suspected cases of abuse and/or neglect.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years prior experience.
- 3 years of residential management experience.
- 3 years of staff management experience.
- 3 years supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, brain injuries, or other unique challenges.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication in both verbal and written form with coworkers and supported individuals.
- Ability to read fluently.
- Valid driver's license in the state of Massachusetts required.
- Successful completion of all state and Agency mandated trainings required upon hire.
- Successful completion of Medication Administration Training certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and provides support to Residential Supervisors, ensuring they understand program and performance standards.
- Ensures regulatory and policy compliance in assigned homes through record reviews, facility inspections, fund audits, and other programmatic reviews.
- Guides Residential Supervisors in developing and monitoring treatment plans, including individual service plans (ISP), provider service agreements, assessments, individual residence plans, person-centered plans, behavior protocols, and clinical support plans.
- Assists with recruiting, supervising, and training Direct Support Professionals.
- Serves as the primary liaison with the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) State Head Injury Program and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
- Provides regular, mandatory trainings for all Agency staff on topics such as fire safety, emergency procedures, universal precautions, vital signs, and assessing illness/injury.
- Reviews and finalizes reporting, including incident reports, restraint reports, medication occurrence reports, and ISP assessments.
- Ensures Agency compliance with state regulatory standards and CARF standards.
- Provides rotational weekend and evening coverage for emergency on-call.
- Serves as a mandated reporter for suspected cases of abuse and/or neglect to the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC).
