About The Position

Join New Haven, a residential mental health treatment center in Spanish Fork, Utah, as a Cook preparing nutritious meals and snacks for youth receiving behavioral health care. In this onsite role, you'll plan menus, accommodate dietary needs, maintain food safety standards, and help create a positive dining experience for residents. We're looking for someone with professional kitchen, cafeteria, or restaurant experience who enjoys meaningful work in a residential treatment setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Utah Food Handler Permit, CPR/First Aid certification, and pass background, drug, driving, and TB screenings
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Crisis Intervention Training Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Professional experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, or institutional kitchen preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create weekly menus
  • Manage inventory
  • Order supplies
  • Help maintain food costs within budget
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations while maintaining a clean kitchen environment
  • Work collaboratively with treatment staff and dietitians to support residents' nutritional needs
