About The Position

TURN Community Services in Sandy is looking to hire a full-time Residential Program Assistant to work in our residential home. This group home position earns a competitive wage of $19/hour plus a sign-on bonus of $600. Requirements

6+ months of experience working with individuals with Developmental/intellectual disabilities
Ability to complete required training within 3 months of employment
Ability to produce and review typed business letters, reports, and accurate numerical records
Personal and reliable transportation with current motor vehicle insurance, and willing to transport clients in personal vehicle.
Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance
Basic computer skills
Leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to balance multiple tasks while demonstrating good time management
Expert problem solver with strong critical thinking skills
Ability to work well as part of a team
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Must be able to pass a background check upon hire.

Responsibilities

Play an essential role in helping our program coordinator keep our group home running smoothly.
Provide additional oversight to the staffing and training of our group home.
Ensure that residents receive the individual support that they need.
Help coordinate and lead the programs that we offer.
Monitor, supervise, and participate in the development and implementation of person-centered and behavior support plans.
Directly supporting clients every shift to assist the individuals with social skills, communication, safety, recreation and leisure, and various other skills to learn independence in their lives.
Provide support with high levels of medical, behavioral and personal hygiene care.
