About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential / Multi-Family Roofing Systems Inspector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of residential and/or multi-family roofing inspection experience, strong communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and a solid work ethic. This is not a basic “look from the ground and take a few pictures” inspection role. Our inspectors are expected to perform thorough, hands-on, professionally documented roof system inspections across a wide range of roofing types and property styles. We get on the roofs, we inspect attics when needed, we document correctly, and we do what is right for our customers, our team, and the long-term quality of every project. This position plays a critical role in helping our estimating, service, production, and operations teams develop accurate scopes of work, high-quality project proposals, and reliable repair or replacement recommendations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of residential and/or multi-family roofing inspection experience.
  • Proven experience inspecting residential and/or multi-family roofing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing systems, components, installation standards, and common failure points.
  • Ability to safely access and inspect roofs, attics, and related building areas.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a team-based workflow.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Professional appearance and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check in accordance with applicable law and company requirements.
  • Ability to use Windows-based systems, iPads, mobile devices, software platforms, and digital documentation tools.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic Windows and iPad proficiency on-site as part of the interview or onboarding process.
  • Willingness to follow company standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AccuLynx CRM or similar roofing/construction project management platforms.
  • Experience with multi-family, HOA, apartment, townhome, or property management inspections.
  • Experience with storm damage, insurance-related inspections, or restoration documentation.
  • Experience with FLIR, drones, Matterport, CRM platforms, or advanced inspection tools.
  • OSHA, ladder safety, drone, manufacturer, or roofing-related certifications.
  • Experience developing scopes of work or supporting estimating teams.
  • Familiarity with multiple roofing systems beyond standard asphalt shingles.

Responsibilities

  • Performing detailed inspections of residential and multi-family roofing systems.
  • Inspecting all major components of the roofing assembly, from the base support structure to vents, penetrations, flashings, gutters, drainage areas, ventilation systems, and related exterior components.
  • Identifying roof damage, active leaks, improper installation, ventilation issues, flashing deficiencies, gutter problems, storm damage, age-related deterioration, and potential structural concerns.
  • Performing safe and approved temporary leak-prevention measures when appropriate and within company standards.
  • Documenting inspections thoroughly with clear photos, legible notes, accurate measurements, and ample/appropriate supporting information.
  • Working closely with project managers, estimators, service teams, production teams, and operations leadership from the initial inspection through development of the scope of work.
  • Providing accurate, organized, and timely inspection information so the estimating team can prepare high-quality and accurate project proposals.
  • Communicating professionally with homeowners, property managers, tenants, maintenance personnel, internal staff, and company leadership.
  • Following all company safety standards, OSHA-related expectations, ladder safety practices, roof access protocols, and job-site procedures.
  • Maintaining a high standard of professionalism, performance, documentation, and accountability on every project.
