Residential Mental Health Therapist Nexus Neurorecovery Center – San Antonio, TX Full-Time | Residential Adolescent Behavioral Health Make a Meaningful Difference Every Day At Nexus Neurorecovery Center – San Antonio, we provide specialized residential treatment for adolescent females with complex behavioral health and medical needs. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to creating a safe, therapeutic environment where every resident has the opportunity to heal, develop healthy coping skills, and achieve lasting success. We are seeking a compassionate and licensed Residential Mental Health Therapist who is passionate about working with adolescents and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional behavioral healthcare. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience working with adolescents.
  • Experience developing and implementing behavioral intervention plans.
  • Current Texas license in one of the following: LPC, LPCA, LCSW, LMSW
  • CPR/BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Current TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a residential treatment center or behavioral health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to adolescent residents.
  • Complete psychosocial, behavioral, and discharge planning assessments within required timeframes.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavioral health treatment plans as part of the interdisciplinary plan of care.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, case management, education, and rehabilitation staff to ensure coordinated care.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and family conferences to support treatment progress and discharge planning.
  • Identify barriers to successful discharge and proactively communicate recommendations to the care team.
  • Educate families on behavioral strategies and transition planning.
  • Coach and educate staff on behavioral interventions, therapeutic communication, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Participate in program development initiatives focused on improving clinical outcomes and treatment quality.
  • Represent Nexus professionally within the community through educational outreach and collaboration with referral partners.
  • Support a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment that promotes resident safety, dignity, and growth.
