The Residential Manager, under the direct supervision of the IRA/ICF Assistant Director and/or Program Coordinator, will oversee and maintain the successful operation of the Individualized Residential Alternative/Intensive Care Facility serving Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. The role requires professionalism, forward-thinking, and acting as a positive role model. Key duties include problem-solving, multitasking, conducting research for program concerns, and being available on-call 24/7 for emergent needs. The manager will also handle crisis situations, deploy resources, and communicate effectively. They will provide training, direction, and supervision to Direct Support Professionals and the Assistant Manager, maintain meticulous records for attendance, compliance, and outcomes, and ensure their own training compliance. The role involves coordinating all services for individuals, including linkages to day treatment, medical, psychiatric, and financial services, while considering individual choices. The manager is responsible for ensuring the program is prepared for external DQI audits, conducting regular self-audits, and overseeing agency medication protocols in collaboration with staff and the RN/LPN. Mandatory monthly staff meetings with professional agendas and minutes are required, as is attendance at monthly Managers’ meetings. Specific Residential Habilitation Plans/LRO/SROs must be developed and reviewed every six months, with invitations extended to all parties the individual deems necessary. The manager will coordinate the implementation of these plans, including staff assignments, data collection, progress notes, and billing requirements. Collaboration with the clinical department (BIS) is essential for behavioral tracking mechanisms and ensuring the successful implementation of Behavior Plans. Documentation in Precision Care, including monthly summaries and identification of areas of concern, is required. The role also includes managing staff schedules, training, and onboarding, participating in the interview process, and assisting with recruitment. Timesheet approval via PayCom, participation in the admission/discharge process, and representing the agency to other service providers are also key responsibilities. Oversight of cooking needs, including menu planning, food shopping, and meal preparation, is required, along with reviewing weekly menus and submitting financial and log receipts. Maintaining documentation of medical appointments and accompanying residents to appointments are also part of the role. Commitment to professional development, sound judgment, and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams are necessary. Efficient time management, organization, proactive planning, and prioritizing are essential for accomplishing responsibilities. The manager will ensure the organization of monthly recreation activities to promote independence, wellness, and community integration, and establish/maintain professional relationships. Handling complaints, settling disputes, resolving grievances, and mediating conflicts are also expected.
