Residential Maintenance Technician | The Waycroft
About The Position
The B. F. Saul Company, with a history dating back to 1931, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Waycroft property in Arlington, VA. This role is under the direction of the Lead Engineer and is responsible for maintaining the property and providing superior customer service to residents. The Maintenance Technician will assist the Lead Engineer in maintaining the property by processing resident service requests promptly, performing preventative maintenance and unit inspections, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and painting, and handling apartment turnovers and renovations. Attendance is essential, and weekend work or overnight hours may be expected as the community operates 24/7.
Requirements
- Three to five (3-5) years of engineering experience
- Strong customer service skills
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift (60 lbs.) and safely move appliances
- Comfortable working with heights up to 25 feet
Nice To Haves
- Experience in multifamily or hospitality environments
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Lead Engineer in maintaining the property
- Processing all resident service requests in a timely manner
- Performing preventative maintenance duties and unit inspections
