About The Position

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Residential Maintenance Technicians for projects located in the Columbus, OH area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $23-30/hour based on experience and skill level. The role involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on residential properties, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general upkeep. This encompasses completing interior and exterior repairs, conducting minor plumbing and basic electrical tasks, performing general carpentry, maintaining exterior areas, conducting regular property inspections, ensuring compliance with housing codes, responding to maintenance requests, preparing units for new occupants, and performing preventative maintenance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in residential property maintenance including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC
  • Ability to type minimum 36 WPM
  • Pass a drug screen, and background check

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential properties, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general upkeep
  • Complete interior and exterior repairs such as drywall patching, painting, fixture replacement, and basic appliance servicing
  • Conduct minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures
  • Handle basic electrical work, including replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures
  • Perform general carpentry and repair work, including doors, trim, cabinets, and drywall
  • Maintain exterior areas including repairs on ramps and railings
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards
  • Ensure all properties are safe, functional, and compliant with local housing codes and regulations
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
  • Prepare units for new occupants, including cleaning, painting, minor repairs, and lock changes
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as HVAC filter changes, smoke detector testing, and weatherproofing
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, inspections, and maintenance schedules
