About The Position

This position receives and processes residential and consumer loan applications in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines. Review and generate disclosures and verifications in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for gathering, assembling, and pre-underwriting all required documents to facilitate the underwriting process, including income, asset, credit, and collateral documentation. Request appraisal reports and any applicable borrower/collateral verifications. Process appraisal payments and assist in reconciliation of invoices. Send pre-commitment title search to attorneys on purchase transactions. May initiate customer contact, either by phone, e-mail or in person to request/obtain necessary documentation related to the origination process within scope of authority and expertise. Maintain a consistent demeanor of caution in regard to borrower(s) sensitive information and the transmission of said information. Ability to work well with paperless document collection systems as well as other web-based systems. Experience with Encompass LOS would be ideal. Work closely with other loan department employees, including Mortgage Originators, Branch Staff, and Underwriters, to ensure efficient and timely application process, as well as compliance-related team members as needed. Track and maintain pipeline reports to ensure file status is current and meets any applicable deadlines (i.e. contract dates, rate lock expirations, appraisal turn-times). Research and collect information for weekly rate comparison surveys along with other team members. Complete and mail out adverse action notices to borrowers who have been denied, withdrawn for incompleteness, or expressly withdrawn their loan. Responsible for maintaining relevant sections of the procedure manual, updating as needed and reviewing on an annual basis. Attend and participate in weekly pipeline meeting as well as any department meetings. Perform related and unrelated duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or above.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task and have good time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn internal, regulatory and secondary market standards.
  • Technologically proficient.

  • Experience with Encompass LOS would be ideal.
