About The Position

The Residential Loan Advisor will consult with potential mortgage and home equity customers to fit our products with customer needs. This role involves interviewing and assisting customers with completing Mortgage and Home Equity applications, ensuring all disclosure information is compliant with regulations. The advisor will qualify borrowers using secondary market underwriting software and prepare files for portfolio loan submission. Additionally, the role requires active participation in community and industry events to enhance the Bank's image and increase business. Building positive relationships with Centers of Influence such as realtors, attorneys, and housing agencies is crucial. The advisor will also assess customer's financial needs, cross-sell other bank services, and refer customers to other departments as appropriate to support their financial growth.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Strong sales skills necessary.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external customers in a polite and professional manner using both written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret mortgage loan applications, credit reports and determine courses of action based on loan decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous banking or mortgage experience preferred.
