About The Position

This live-in position coordinates all aspects of the programs and services for the NYU Tulsa residential facility, encompassing both community development and administrative functions such as room selection, room changes, and semester transition. The role involves directly supervising student Peer Mentors and providing crisis intervention to residents. This includes assessing problems, resolving them or referring them for resolution, conducting investigations of alleged policy violations, holding meetings, interviewing participants, and determining the severity of violations in accordance with University student conduct policy. The position is responsible for assigned after-hours/weekend/holiday on-call duties on a rotational basis to address student emergencies. The Residential Life Administrator advises students and collaborates with NYU Tulsa staff to foster a living and learning community that enhances the student's University experience. This includes developing and implementing residential learning community programs and initiatives, and assisting with student development operations. This is a part-time, live-in student housing position based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
1+ years of experience in community development activities and programming.
1+ years of experience in facilities operations.
1+ years of experience in staff supervision.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all aspects of programs and services for the NYU Tulsa residential facility.
Manage community development and administrative aspects including room selection, room changes, and semester transition.

Provide crisis intervention to residents, assessing problems and resolving or referring them for resolution.
Conduct investigations of alleged violations of University and residence policies.
Hold meetings, interview participants, and determine the degree/seriousness of violations according to University student conduct policy.
Perform assigned after-hours/weekend/holiday on-call duties on a rotational basis for student emergencies.
Advise students and collaborate with NYU Tulsa staff to create a living and learning community.
Develop and implement residential learning community programs and initiatives.
Assist with student development operations.
