About The Position

Graduating in December 2026 or May 2027 and ready to start your career with a firm that will make your development a priority? Join WithersRavenel as an Engineer in Training (Civil Professional I) and play a key role in helping to shape the communities where we live and work. As part of our Residential Land Development Team in Cary, you’ll support project engineers, contribute to design development, solve technical challenges, and help deliver high-quality plans. This role is perfect for early-career civil engineers who are eager to learn, collaborate, and grow! Gain broad experience across residential land development from initial concepts to final designs and client-ready deliverables. Receive Mentorship and Guidance by working with senior engineers and project managers who are invested in your progress and committed to helping you grow. Hybrid schedule - about three days a week in the office.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
0-1+ years of related professional experience (internships and co-ops considered).
Exposure to and/or experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Geopak, or related design software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to take direction.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks under deadlines.
Demonstrates enthusiasm, flexibility, and commitment to professional growth.
