About The Position

We’re looking for a Residential HVAC Service Manager to lead and develop our growing service team in Austin. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys coaching technicians, improving department performance, and helping a successful residential HVAC company continue to grow.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of residential HVAC service experience.
  • Current EPA Certification.
  • Strong residential HVAC diagnostic and technical knowledge.
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Understanding of HVAC service department operations, KPIs, and revenue performance.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous HVAC leadership, management, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of residential HVAC Service Technicians.
  • Manage daily service operations, including scheduling, dispatch coordination, workflow, and technician productivity.
  • Track and improve key performance indicators such as revenue, average ticket, maintenance agreements, callback rates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct ride-alongs to provide technical coaching, customer service guidance, and sales development.
  • Support technicians with complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and escalated service issues.
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and train HVAC professionals.
  • Build a positive team culture focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with dispatch, installation, and customer service teams to create a seamless customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA requirements, safety procedures, company standards, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee department inventory, fleet readiness, tools, and equipment.
  • Review service reports for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and protect the company’s reputation.
  • Drive department growth through technician development, service excellence, and maintenance agreement opportunities.
