Residential HVAC Sales Manager
About The Position
Sky Heating, AC, Plumbing & Electrical is looking for an experienced HVAC Sales Manager to lead and develop our residential HVAC sales team in Portland, OR. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the home services industry, knows how to coach sales professionals, and can drive both individual and team performance. This is an opportunity for an experienced sales leader to take ownership of a residential HVAC sales team and make a direct impact on team performance, customer experience, and company growth. We're looking for someone who can lead from the front, develop their team, and bring structure, accountability, and energy to the sales organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Residential HVAC sales management experience required
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing a sales team
- Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems and replacement sales
- Demonstrated ability to manage sales KPIs and consistently drive results
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable holding team members accountable while providing meaningful coaching and support
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong customer service skills and a professional presence
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced residential home services environment
- Experience with CRM and sales management software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the HVAC sales team to consistently meet and exceed sales goals
- Manage daily sales activity, performance, accountability, and results
- Train and mentor Comfort Advisors and sales professionals on effective sales processes and techniques
- Monitor key performance indicators including close rate, average ticket, revenue, lead conversion, and individual sales performance
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
- Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and overall sales process
- Work closely with Service and Operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sold jobs to production
- Review sales opportunities and help team members overcome obstacles and improve closing performance
- Establish clear expectations and hold the sales team accountable for results
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new sales team members
- Analyze sales reports and trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and help resolve escalated sales or customer concerns
- Stay current on HVAC products, systems, financing options, and industry trends
- Help develop and implement sales strategies that support company growth
- Promote a strong team culture focused on customer satisfaction, professionalism, and results
