About The Position

We are a full-service mechanical contractor providing customers in the commercial, residential, and industrial sectors with innovative, energy-efficient heating and air conditioning services, automation and controls, industrial piping, new construction design and installation, and maintenance and replacement services. This role involves the installation of Residential and Light Commercial Type HVAC duct systems and equipment. The primary goal is to install all assigned projects efficiently and to maintain excellent communication with customers. The position requires a valid driver's license, the ability to work in various weather conditions, and a commitment to safety.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license certificate.
  • Meet all required physical ability, efforts, and exertions to perform job duties.
  • Ability to pick up a 60 lb. tool, piece of equipment, or material and move it.
  • Ability to load and unload materials and move them into place, potentially carrying loads in tight, difficult situations and on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to climb and work off ladders and aerial lifts.
  • Familiarity with the safe operation and capability of using hammer type drills and similar tools.
  • Familiarity with the proper handling of suspended loads.
  • Possess or secure an EPA refrigerant certificate within company guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with assisting in the setting of equipment with the aid of a crane, boom truck, outdoor forklift, and other construction vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of Residential and Light Commercial Type HVAC duct systems and equipment including packaged units, split systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, air distribution systems, duct systems, fire and smoke dampers, kitchen hoods, grilles, and diffusers.
  • Install all assigned projects at or below estimated cost.
  • Supervise and support assigned field personnel on larger jobs when necessary.
  • Maintain excellent communication between Newcomb and Company and all customers.
  • Review job packages and coordinate information with assigned field personnel.
  • Perform installation services for residential and light commercial installations.
  • Maintain quality workmanship and installation standards.
  • Work in outdoor weather and temperature extremes.
  • Maintain daily communication with field personnel and project managers.
  • Coordinate material orders and deliveries.
  • Prepare all paperwork pertinent to the installation project.
  • Work in a safe manner and abide by company safety policies.
  • Secure an EPA refrigerant certificate within company guidelines.
  • Perform startup of equipment, confirming wiring, refrigerant charging, and safety procedures.
  • Complete timesheets on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Maintain all assigned tools and vehicles.
  • Monitor job sites to ensure a safe workplace and report safety violations.
  • Follow directions from the Residential Installation Supervisor.
