About The Position

Carolina Cool is looking for a seasoned HVAC Residential Install Manager who can own residential installation projects from start to finish. This position is for someone who knows how to lead from the front and deliver results. In this role, you will take ownership of HVAC residential install projects from concept to completion—balancing hands-on technical insight with strong leadership and sharp managerial/technical skills. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in precision, performance, and people, you will fit right in. You will be responsible for planning and setting the pace on the job site, guiding lead installers and helpers, and ensuring every system is installed safely, correctly, and to code.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience
  • Proven ability to manage installation jobs and train.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Professional attitude and strong customer-service mindset

Responsibilities

  • Manage the installation operations of the company, including the scheduling and dispatch of crews, ordering, and purchasing equipment and materials, inventory stocking program.
  • Clear and concise communications with company customers, including keeping customers appraised as to company schedule and requested lead time.
  • Oversee the training and efficiency of company installers.
  • Aggressive recruiting and employee retention practices.
  • Implementation and enforcement of company’s purchasing policy.
  • The overall supervision of the company installation crew and the profitability of installation jobs.
  • Backup warehouse manager to open shop at 6:45 a.m.
  • Update and layout schedule utilizing Service Titan software.
  • Review new jobs with installers, review paperwork and labor time from previous days job, find out any punch list or uncompleted items.
  • Truck and tool inspections
  • Walk shop and loading area, answer questions, ensure installers are on the road no later than 7:30 a.m.
  • Schedule layouts and update layout and design schedules.
  • Turn in all files for billing from prior day by 10:00 a.m.
  • Purchase equipment for jobs scheduled three days from today.
  • Purchase special orders, materials etc.
  • Hold start-up meetings before each job project begins and weekly progress meetings for extended jobs.
  • Perform site visits on one or two jobs in progress each day for quality, on time status, verify delivery dates for material orders.
  • Return builder/customer calls.
  • Follow up field status with crew.
  • Return excess material to supplier for credits.
  • Coordinate with warehouse manager/associates making certain that all jobs for the next day have been pulled and staged.
  • Be available by phone, text or email for installers questions, know whereabouts and progress of crew during the day.
  • Complete required job documentation accurately and on time
