Residential Handyman / Home Service Technician - Loudoun County, VA
About The Position
Birdwatch is seeking skilled residential home service technicians to join their growing team in Loudoun County, Virginia. This role involves providing repairs, preventative maintenance, and small home improvement projects for homeowners in communities such as Ashburn, Leesburg, Purcellville, Sterling, Aldie, and South Riding. The technician will act as a trusted expert, ensuring homeowners enjoy worry-free homeownership through exceptional service. The position is focused on supporting the Loudoun County homeowner base, with occasional opportunities to assist in neighboring Northern Virginia communities. Birdwatch offers a supportive, team-driven environment that values expertise and encourages growth.
Requirements
- 2+ years of home maintenance, handyman, or residential construction experience
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organization and time management
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative teammate
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable using technology in the field (training provided)
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency calls
Nice To Haves
- Experience mentoring others is a plus
- Trade certifications are a plus
- Knowledge of Loudoun County communities, neighborhoods, and roadways
- Residence in or near Loudoun County, Virginia
- Experience navigating Northern Virginia efficiently
