About The Position
Waste Connections is hiring a Local Garbage Truck Driver at its Pflugerville, Texas site. The position involves driving a residential garbage truck with another driver on specified routes to collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites. Drivers take turns working on the back of the truck, making the job extremely physical. Employees work on a driver/driver team for 6–12 months before having the opportunity to be promoted to other routes. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 6:00 a.m. start and a typical workday of 10 or more hours.
Requirements
- Class A or B CDL.
- Clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 65 pounds throughout a shift of 10 or more hours.
