About The Position

Faculty are essential to Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ. It is expected that a faculty member model a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University, engage in an active commitment to, and experience of, personal spiritual formation within a biblically informed Christian worldview. Faculty should view their teaching, engagement with students, and scholarship as a means to a significant educational end. They should strive to employ a variety of techniques for the development of good learning conditions, view each student as a unique individual, and insofar as it is possible, provide for individual differences, abilities, and interests. This role involves teaching material from the approved curriculum, assisting students in achieving learning outcomes, providing feedback, participating in retention initiatives, advising students on academic matters, motivating student participation, maintaining and reporting student grades and attendance, and upholding university standards for course activity and communication.

Requirements

  • We are seeking faculty who can teach students at the Undergraduate level.
  • A master’s degree in financial planning OR 18 graduate hours in financial planning.
  • To teach at the undergraduate level one will need to have a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in financial planning.

  • A master’s degree in financial planning and a Certified Financial Planner.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching material from the approved curriculum in accordance with an assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction.
  • Assist students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to students.
  • Participate in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students and by getting in touch with and helping absent students.
  • Advise students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.
  • Motivate students to participate in all aspects of the educational process actively.
  • Maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.
  • Maintain university standards regarding course activity, emails, grading, and communication with residential chair and students.
  • Other duties as assigned.
