About The Position

The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts (ASMSA) is seeking a full-time Residential Experience Coordinator. This role is responsible for the oversight and safety of students within a residential setting. The coordinator will work on a floor with approximately 30-40 high school students (grades 10-12) in collaboration with a Residential Mentor. ASMSA is a unique educational community that invests in talented and promising young minds from across Arkansas, offering college-level coursework, dynamic faculty, advanced research opportunities, and diverse experiences.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree is required.
Minimum of at least one year student affairs leadership experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of residential functions, operations, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Personal skills and characteristics necessary for success in the position: Creativity, Flexibility, Organizational skills, Team Building, Enthusiasm, Dependability.
Valid Driver’s License.
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree is preferred in student affairs, higher education, college student personnel, counseling, social work, or related field.
Experience developing focus experiences for students.
Demonstrated commitment in continual learning and institutional improvements.
Ability to work with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, parents, and community members.
Effective decision making, problem-solving, and judgement skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and execute tasks to completion.
