About The Position
Path Light Pro is seeking a full-time Residential Energy Home Inspector (also described as a Quality Assurance and Energy Specialist) to conduct energy assessments and construction quality evaluations at residential construction sites. The role offers independent work, travel opportunities, in-house training, and the opportunity to begin a career in the new construction or energy-efficiency industry. No previous experience is required. The position involves working outdoors at remote sites and using equipment to perform inspections. The job is physically rigorous, though individual inspections do not take long once the work is mastered.
Requirements
- No previous experience is required; knowledge of general construction is a plus.
- Able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to walk up and down inclines and on uneven ground.
- Must have dependable transportation.
- Hard-working and teachable.
- Positive team player.
- Able to travel and work at remote sites.
- Full range of mobility in the upper and lower body and able to reach overhead.
- Able to frequently lift up to 30–40 pounds if necessary.
- Able to walk, stop, stand, bend, sit, kneel, and squat for extended periods.
- Able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks.

Responsibilities
- Conduct construction site evaluations for energy assessment and quality of construction.
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients.
- Complete site evaluation documentation in electronic systems and onsite energy code compliance forms.
- Communicate construction quality issues and energy code requirements to client onsite personnel.
- Communicate promptly and professionally with the immediate supervisor and clients to support efficient operations.
- Identify solutions to improve the quality of newly constructed houses in accordance with energy code requirements.
