About The Position

Trash Taxi of Georgia is seeking safety-conscious, courteous, experienced professional drivers for its residential waste hauling business in Acworth, Georgia. Drivers collect and hand-load residential waste and recycling, then transport it to a landfill site in a rear-load truck. The work is physically demanding and involves near-continuous exertion, including repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling receptacles weighing up to 75 pounds. Drivers work amid unpleasant sights and smells and in weather extremes, including hot or cold and wet or dry conditions. They communicate professionally with customers and dispatchers, document complaints about schedules or service quality, and respond courteously and respectfully. Drivers must read and understand maps, complete daily driver logs, and perform pre- and post-trip inspections.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid Class A or Class B CDL with an airbrakes endorsement.
• Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Speak and read English well enough to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and make legible entries on reports and records.
• Have at least 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 years.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment (post-offer) drug screen, background check, motor vehicle records check, and Department of Transportation physical.

Responsibilities
