About The Position

Bay-CSS is looking for a Part-time Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Glen Burnie, MD for the Friday and Saturday overnight awake shift (11pm to 7am). The DSP will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with disabilities during these hours, providing support, ensuring safety, and promoting independence in a community-based residential setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance required.
• Must pass a background check.
• Willingness to attend and complete all required trainings as scheduled.
• Availability to work Friday and Saturday overnight shifts (11pm to 7am).

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with disabilities in personal care activities and daily living tasks during the overnight shift.
• Support community integration by facilitating participation in various activities and events.
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment for residents.
• Document observations, progress, and any incidents as per agency protocols.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals throughout the night.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and high-quality care.
