About The Position

Bay-CSS is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Waldorf, Maryland. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Compensation is $21 per hour Monday through Friday, with a $2 shift differential for Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household chores.
• Support individuals in acquiring and enhancing independent living skills.
• Create and maintain a safe and nurturing environment for residents.
• Follow individualized care plans as directed by supervisory staff.
• Accurately document resident progress, incidents, and other relevant information.
• Collaborate with residents, their families, and team members to support effective communication and care coordination.
