About The Position

NFI North provides mental and behavioral health and behavioral support services through diverse, community-based programs. NFI North Bridge Crossing is a residential treatment program in the Bridgton area serving children ages 5–14 who need a highly structured and therapeutic environment. The program is seeking a Relief Direct Care Counselor. Residential Counselors support day-to-day program operations and help maintain a safe, supportive environment for participants. The ideal candidate is flexible, energetic, creative, and interested in working as part of a team of professionals.

Requirements

• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to assume and delegate responsibilities.
• Ability to exercise decision-making.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working in the field with youth.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for participants.
• Initiate and engage participants in daily activities.
• Supervise participants.
• Provide crisis intervention.
• Provide case management and advocacy.
• Complete all related documentation.
