About The Position

Eliot is seeking a Relief Counselor to work with adults with brain injuries in its residential programs. The programs provide high-quality, innovative support to help adults enhance their lives, develop skills, participate in community activities, and build supportive relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Experience working with adults with cognitive, behavioral, or developmental issues.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
• Ability to drive a program vehicle in Boston and on highways.

Nice To Haves

• Medication Administration certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, meals, and ambulation.
• Help maintain a safe living environment by providing interventions and assistance to support client safety.
• Support clients’ integration into their communities by helping them use community resources, pursue memberships, and build personal relationships.
• Assist clients with medical and physical needs.
• Help clients participate in activities, attend medical appointments, and maintain meaningful family and community connections.
