About The Position

Eliot is seeking a Residential Counselor II for its Social Services residential program, which provides immediate and short-term placement for children ages 0 to 12 who need specialized support and services while healing from traumatic events. The role requires establishing positive rapport with a culturally and economically diverse group of children and families and delivering services within trauma-informed and strengths-based frameworks.

Requirements

• High school diploma and at least one year of related experience with the population.
• Ability to adhere to a model of care focused on Trauma-Informed Care and Interventions.
• Sound judgment and effective, solution-focused problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate youth in completing daily scheduled activities, including school, appointments, play, and other activities.
• Actively monitor and participate in community service, recreation, visits, family time, and other off-ground activities.
• Lead shifts as assigned.
• Safely transport youth to activities, appointments, school, work, and visits.
• Advocate for assigned youth and complete Advocate Reports and other required documentation.
