About The Position

Merakey is hiring a full-time Residential Counselor for its Community Residential Rehab (CRR) programs in Delaware County. The role rotates as needed to cover open shifts, including second, third, and double shifts on weekends. Pay is $18.75 per hour, with enhanced pay available. The Residential Counselor provides direction and assistance to residents and helps them with daily living and community activities. The position also involves supporting resident goal plans, reporting progress to clinicians, transporting residents, and covering open shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.

• One year of mental health experience with adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with nutrition, housekeeping, budgeting, hygiene, self-care, home safety, social interaction, exercise, health management, and vocational needs.
• Transport residents to appointments and outings.
• Implement appropriate parts of each resident's goal plan as instructed by the treatment team or supervisor.
• Report residents' progress to the appropriate clinician.
• Cover open shifts as needed.
