Residential Construction Superintendent

Procraft Restoration GroupRaleigh, NC

About The Position

ProCraft is a high-end, licensed unlimited residential general contractor serving homeowners across North Carolina and the broader Southeast. We deliver premium craftsmanship, organized job sites, and clear communication on every project, from exterior upgrades (roofing, siding, gutters and guards, windows and doors, paint and coatings, concrete and driveways, outdoor projects) to interior work (kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, insulation and energy efficiency) and full-scope builds (additions and ADUs, new builds, whole-home renovations, 3- and 4-season rooms, and fire, flood, and storm restoration). Our mission is to serve 32,000 homeowners by 2032 while setting a new standard for how this industry treats homeowners and the people who serve them. We do that by hiring Superintendents who live our five core values every day: Do What’s Required (build to code, to scope, and to ProCraft’s fit-and-finish standards, no shortcuts), Take Ownership (act like your name is on every home and own the project from pre-construction to punch list), Stay Coachable (seek feedback, learn new products and better processes), Be Resilient (solve weather, material, and schedule challenges instead of quitting), and Win Together (coordinate with the office, subcontractors, and homeowners so everyone is aligned and the project wins). We are hiring a Residential Construction Superintendent based in the Raleigh area to run day-to-day field operations on multiple residential renovation and new-construction projects across Raleigh, Southern Pines, and Greensboro. Success in this role means: You own the job from pre-construction until the final punch list is complete so that the homeowner is more happy when the job is done than they were during the dream phase. You deliver a five-star experience on every project.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of residential field management (superintendent, lead carpenter, foreman, or similar) with direct responsibility for schedule and subcontractor coordination, and experience working with homeowners.
  • Experience in residential renovations and light new construction (remodels, additions, decks, exterior improvements, small new builds).
  • Organized and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple jobs across the Raleigh / Southern Pines / Greensboro areas.
  • Clear communicator with homeowners, office staff, and trades; understands that client experience matters as much as the work itself.
  • Able to read and interpret residential plans, scopes, and manufacturer installation requirements, and enforce quality in the field.
  • Comfortable with basic tech (email, text, photos, digital notes/checklists).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA-10/30 or similar safety training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage field operations for assigned residential projects (renovations and new construction) from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Maintain timelines by driving the schedule: anticipate next steps, coordinate trades, and prevent avoidable delays so projects finish on time with organized jobsites.
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractor crews to ensure work follows scope, plans, and ProCraft standards for quality and cleanliness. Confirm trade readiness before each phase (site conditions, access, materials on site, preceding work complete).
  • Contact each trade one day before they’re needed to verify attendance, readiness, and scope understanding, and document outcomes in the job file.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, the homeowner, and subcontractors. Maintain proactive, professional communication with homeowners, providing regular progress updates and explaining upcoming work and schedule changes.
  • Maintain budgets and maintain quality. Perform ongoing quality control and punch list management so work meets contract scope, code, manufacturer requirements, and ProCraft’s fit-and-finish standards.
  • Verify that delivered materials match scope and selections, identify shortages or damage early, and coordinate re-orders to avoid downtime.
  • Keep project documentation current: ensure that all documents are uploaded and labeled correctly in the system, and that all construction and completion photos are added. Complete and upload trade checklists as phases are performed and signed off.
  • Meet with the homeowner to do the final walkthrough to create the final punch list and ensure the homeowner signs off, as well as execution of the punch list itself.
  • Confirm permits and pre-construction conditions, and ensure final cleaning and punch list resolution are completed before owner review.
  • All of the above is in service of achieving our mission and delivering a five-star experience.
