About The Position

Provide hands-on oversight and upkeep of all residential community spaces, laundry rooms, and outdoor community areas. This role ensures shared spaces are clean, functional, well-equipped, and welcoming for students by monitoring conditions, coordinating repairs, and making improvements that enhance the look and feel of each community.

Requirements

Little to minimal prior experience required.
Ability to learn support and work-order processes.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Able to move furniture and perform light physical tasks.
Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inventories through all residential community spaces, laundry rooms, and outdoor community areas to monitor cleanliness, functionality, and overall condition.
Submit and track work orders with Aramark, Facilities, IS&T, and WASH Laundry Service for repairs, maintenance, and issues that need attention.
Follow up on submitted requests and communicate promptly when spaces are not being cleaned or serviced as expected.
Post and remove signage, flyers, and informational materials throughout the communities.
Set up and troubleshoot basic technology in community spaces, including turning on televisions and confirming they are working properly.
Arrange and move furniture to create welcoming, functional, and aesthetically pleasing spaces where students want to gather.
Perform light upkeep such as wiping down tables, straightening furniture, and picking up trash.
Provide feedback and recommendations on how community spaces can be improved.
Respond to emails and communications in a timely and professional manner.
Move between all communities as needed and work independently with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
