About The Position

Chrysalis House is seeking a full-time Residential Coach to assist the Shift Supervisor and Residential Manager in all duties related to the functioning of the residential program. This role involves coordinating activities for residents and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. The Residential Coach will work Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or a combination of education and experience
  • Experience in human services or education related field highly desirable
  • CPR, First AID certified preferred
  • Med Certification preferred
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license
  • Pre-employment criminal background check
  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates understanding of special treatment needs of women with substance abuse in a residential treatment setting and shows evidence of empathy, sensitivity and maturity.
  • Demonstrates highest professional ethical standards and adheres to Chrysalis House Core Values and Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Works in the residential environment during assigned shift.
  • Carries out instructions of the Residential Operations Manager.
  • Supervises clients in taking medications, in accordance with self-administered medication policy.
  • Supervises clients in the house and outside the facility, following the daily schedule.
  • Maintains a safe and welcoming house environment.
  • Enforces program rules in accordance with the resident's manual and policy & procedures.
  • Manages client passes in accordance with current treatment levels.
  • Mentors clients, explaining client boundaries, house rules, and house operations.
  • Transports clients to appointments and AA/NA meetings as needed during hours on duty.
  • Maintains vehicle mileage log for all trips.
  • Runs residential errands, including donation pick-ups, grocery & supply shopping, as assigned by Program Manager.
  • Collects urine as required, assuring that all clients pay the fee prior to collecting sample.
  • Drops off urine and fees to the Urine Monitoring Program.
  • Reports any emergency to the Residential Shift Supervisor, Program Director and/or Clinical Director immediately.
  • Follows applicable emergency procedures in the event of medical, police, fire, or disaster emergency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
