About The Position

Cumberland Heights is seeking a Residential Clinical Supervisor to join their team. This role is responsible for managing the continuum of care and services during assigned shifts for specific program areas or the entire site. Cumberland Heights is dedicated to providing high-quality care for individuals and families affected by chemical dependency, focusing on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual recovery within a safe and healing environment that integrates professional excellence with Twelve Step principles.

Requirements

  • LADAC required (Master’s Degree preferred) or LPC-MSHP, LCSW, or equivalent licensure.
  • Five (5) years of clinical experience.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred in job-related activities.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize clinical software programs.
  • Thorough familiarity with substance use disorder treatment, co-occurring mental health disorders, evidence-based practices of the Cumberland Heights Model of Care, and Twelve Step treatment philosophy.
  • Ability to teach and model substance use disorder treatment, co-occurring mental health disorders, evidence-based practices of the Cumberland Heights Model of Care, and Twelve Step treatment philosophy.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply information regarding cultural/age/population specific characteristics to patient care.
  • Excellent ability to problem-solve, analyze, and interpret information.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be open and culturally sensitive to a wide variety of patients’ experiences.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, co-workers, and lead a team collaboratively and courteously.
  • If recovering, one year of verifiable abstinence is required (five years preferred).
  • Certification or eligibility for CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staff coverage for residential programs during assigned shifts, reallocating resources as needed.
  • Supervise the implementation of the patient schedule, including Twelve Step meetings and special events.
  • Facilitate team reports and ongoing communication with senior staff to ensure continuity of care, collaborating with admissions and nursing services.
  • Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff within their scope of practice.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions as needed.
  • Coordinate and intervene in clinical crisis situations, communicating with off-site leadership.
  • Problem-solve customer complaints and risk management issues, reporting to designated Directors and Quality Management.
  • Direct emergency code and disaster response for assigned areas until senior staff arrive, working with nursing and security.
  • Provide shift activity reports to supervising leadership, Clinical Directors, and Coordinators.
  • Perform CPR, First Aid, and CPI as needed.
  • Document pertinent clinical information in the electronic patient record.
  • Ensure a welcoming, safe, and healing environment for patients and families.
  • Recommend improvements to the quality and delivery of services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and patient information.
  • React productively to change.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision for all staff within assigned areas.
  • Participate in and facilitate staff development training and provide feedback for performance evaluations.
  • Work with clinical directors on corrective action matters.
