About The Position

To provide the highest quality healthcare services in a professional, courteous, and competent manner by providing guidance and leadership, under the direction of the Radiology Clinical Coordinator and Director of Radiology. This position oversees designated areas within the Radiology Department. Designated areas will be assigned and may include Diagnostic x-ray, Ultrasound, Interventional, CT Scan, Nuclear Medicine, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Women’s Center, Clerical, Radiology Assistants and/or the satellite facilities in Plainfield, Avon, Satori Pointe and Brownsburg. The CT Lead Technologist is responsible for coordinating diagnostic imaging services within their areas of responsibility to ensure high-quality patient care in a timely manner according to prescribed standards. They will make room assignments, coordinate activities, and manage ACR accreditation for assigned areas. This role also involves mediating individual problems, assisting with employee performance evaluations, and encouraging continuing education for imaging personnel. The Lead Technologist will contribute to establishing department policies and procedures, assist in developing a yearly Quality Assurance and Improvement program, and support the Director of Radiology and Clinical Coordinator as needed. They will hold subordinates accountable for adhering to hospital and department policies and must be able to perform as a working imaging specialist in at least one area of designated responsibility, using common sense and medical skills to care for patients of all ages and diagnoses. Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an approved School of Radiographic Technology and have the credentials as stated in IX Vocational Preparation.
  • Computer experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience working as Imaging Technologist.
  • Be certified by the State of Indiana
  • Be a R.T.(R) ARRT in good standing

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates diagnostic imaging services within areas of responsibility to ensure high quality patient care in a timely manner by prescribed standards.
  • Makes room assignments and coordinates activities within the designated areas.
  • Coordinate, submit and maintain ACR accreditation for assigned areas.
  • Mediates individual problems and refers to superior, unresolved problems relating to morale, scheduling, work methods, procedures, supplies, etc.
  • Assists with employee performance evaluations for designated staff according to the established time frame.
  • Encourages and assists in continuing education programs for imaging personnel.
  • Assists in establishing department policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the development of a yearly Quality Assurance and Improvement program.
  • Assists Director of Radiology and Clinical Coordinator as requested.
  • Holds subordinates accountable for conformity to Hospital and Department Policies.
  • Complies with minimum standards as noted on the cover page of job description.
  • Able to perform as a working imaging specialist in at least one area of designated responsibility.
  • Use common sense and special medical skills to care for the sick or handicapped with regard to the patient’s age and diagnosis.
