The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and reliable person with a G license who can work independently with minimal supervision. Requirements

  • Class G Licence (Required)
  • Developmental services diploma or related field of study (Required)
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (Required)
  • Developmental Service Worker Diploma or related field of study
  • Valid First Aid, CPR certificate, and Safe Management training
  • G Class Driver's License
  • Two Step TB Test

Nice To Haves

  • Covid 19 Vaccination (Preferred)
  • ABA training is an asset
  • Experience with behaviors is an asset or related experience
  • Preference will be given to persons with experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Locate the appropriate services for clients according to their needs and preferences.
  • Interview clients to determine services needed and determine their suitability and eligibility for each program.
  • Determine if a client meets the eligibility requirements for social services programs and refer him or her to the proper agency, if necessary.
  • Monitor time frames for services and document when goals are met.
