Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma, or GED.
- Be at least 21 years old and willing to complete agency background checks.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license or obtain one with approved driver status.
- Must successfully complete all required agency background checks, including checks for criminal convictions involving behavior harmful toward children, spousal abuse, and drug or sex crimes.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with youth, is preferred.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in behavioral or social sciences (preferred), OR At least 60 semester credits and one year of experience working with children; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide residential care to youth ages 10yr to 17yr who have a variety of mental health, behavioral, substance abuse, and legal issues.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team, conduct groups, supervise youth in community settings, and provide a positive and healthy environment through role modeling.
- Ensure child protection policies are followed.
- Safeguard residents and staff through appropriate physical intervention if necessary.
- Transport residents and uphold health and safety regulations.
