Residential Care Specialist
About The Position
Entry-level position supporting adolescents. At Southeastern Integrated Care (SEIC), our mission is “to improve the lives we serve with comprehensive integrated health services, not bound by convention.” We are seeking Full-time Residential Support Staff to support our adolescent residential home. The Residential Support Staff (RSS) plays a pivotal role in our adolescent residential home where we care for adolescents 12-17 years old with mental health diagnosis in a safe, therapeutic, home-like setting. The RSS provides direct client supervision and care and assists the team with providing individualized approaches to wellness in a positive, consistent, structured environment. Key skill in this position is staying awake the whole shift. Some of the other daily activities you would do as the RSS are: Grocery shopping, meal preparation, and general housekeeping of the residence as well as planning and supervising activities. Medication administration and documentation following training period. Transporting residents to appointments and outings in a company vehicle. Sensitivity to the needs of individuals with MH/SA/IDD concerns is necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Current, valid NC driver's license and safe driving record required to transport.
- Sensitivity to the needs of individuals with MH/SA/IDD concerns is necessary.
- Successful completion of an extensive background check, motor vehicle records check, drug screening, OIG, NHCR, and required education verification.
