About The Position

The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a Residential Care Coordinator at their Ocean Street adult residential program. This professional social work position is responsible for providing quality treatment and service planning for the program. The role contributes to the Agency's mission by providing direct clinical services and clinical consultation, supporting the crisis program, residential staff, and community-based crisis care coordination. The Residential Care Coordinator is part of a multidisciplinary team assisting adults in short-term residential treatment for stabilization of mental health and substance use crisis needs. This is a short-term, temporary position contingent on program need as determined by the director. Eligible candidates are currently enrolled in a social work or counseling master's degree program and are in good standing, approaching achievement of their degree and clinical license. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, hourly position located in South Portland, ME.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a social work or counseling master's degree program.
• In progress and anticipated achievement of the Master of Social Work degree or Masters of Counseling from an accredited graduate school within 6 months of hire required.
• In progress and anticipated social work or counseling clinical conditional license within 6 months of hire required.
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.
• Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
• If MHRT is required for position, must pass CNA registry check.
• If residential or ECE employee, must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen.
• Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Normal office conditions such as sitting, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Driving may be necessary to attend meetings, trainings or for occasional client needs offsite, within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency locations to complete work.
• A good driving record is required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 or more years of direct experience with Co-Occurring Disorders preferred.
