About The Position

This position requires strong attention to detail, technical drawing skills, and a thorough understanding of residential cabinetry. The ideal candidate is experienced with Wellborn Cabinet products and proficient in cabinet design software, particularly DesignFlex/Cyncly and 2020. Consistent, accurate work and the ability to identify potential issues before cabinets are ordered or produced are key measures of success. The position works closely with other teams to ensure that cabinet designs accurately reflect project requirements and can be executed efficiently. The role is structured to provide a steady, supportive work environment where technical expertise, accuracy, and dependable completion of assignments are valued.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with Wellborn Cabinet products is required.
  • Proficiency in DesignFlex/Cyncly, 2020, Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Wellborn Cabinet Drafting Experience strongly preferred.
  • Technical school, drafting, design, construction or related education is preferred.
  • Previous residential cabinet drafting or cabinet design experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with DesignFlex/Cyncly and/or 2020 cabinet design software is preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in residential cabinetry, woodworking, kitchen and bath design, construction, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create accurate, professional residential cabinet layouts and drawings using DesignFlex/Cyncly and/or 2020.
  • Develop cabinet plans, elevations and details based on customer requirements, field measurements, architectural plans, and design specifications.
  • Incorporate cabinet selections, accessories, modifications, fillers, panels, and other applicable details into cabinet designs.
  • Review cabinet layouts for accuracy, functionality, clearances, appliances, walls, doors, windows, trim, plumbing, electrical, and other project conditions.
  • Review and incorporate field measurements and revisions into existing cabinet designs.
  • Verify cabinet sizes, configurations, finishes, door styles, accessories, and other product details against project requirements.
  • Prepare cabinet designs and documentation for purchasing and ordering.
  • Communicate questions, discrepancies, and potential design issues to the appropriate team member before an order is finalized.
  • Maintain organized and accurate project files and documentation.
  • Complete drafting assignments accurately and within established project deadlines.
