About The Position
Residential Assistant for the Upward Bound Math & Science Program is responsible for supervising high school participants in a residential setting, ensuring safety, enforcing program rules, and maintaining daily routines. Provided mentorship and support to help students adjust to campus life, develop independence, and stay focused on academic goals. Assisted with study halls, monitored attendance, and encouraged participation in classes and program activities. Planned and led recreational and educational events, chaperoned trips, and fostered a positive community environment. Completed administrative tasks including attendance tracking, incident reporting, and communication with program staff.
Requirements
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
