We are seeking an experienced Assistant Service Technician to join our Hyde Park team on Chicago's South Side. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and has a solid background in maintenance, repair. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, initiative and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community is required.
  • Experience in painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems is required.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of the safe and proper use of common tools, cleaning products and supplies
  • Flexibility to work overtime periods and assist at our other residential communities when needed
  • Availability to respond to after-hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be willing to work on Saturdays

Responsibilities

  • Walk the property daily to ensure cleanliness and address any maintenance issues.
  • Perform janitorial duties as assigned.
  • Foster workplace harmony and promote a positive company image.
  • Any other tasks as directed by the Property Manager and Service Manager.
