The program provides supervision, psycho-educational and skill-building services to support residents’ return to the community after incarceration, with the goal of reducing recidivism through positive behavioral change and pro-social community connections. The Residential Aide provides direct client care, including support with activities of daily living and residents’ safety, health, and wellness. The role assists program staff and works on the Residential Behavioral Health Treatment care team to support clients’ recovery from mental illness, substance use, and homelessness. The aide helps maintain a safe, harm-free environment and is expected to establish and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The position is part-time, 16 hours per week, on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Newly hired employees must attend a mandatory two-day orientation at the Roscommon office in Middletown.
