About The Position

An intensive residential program, providing 24-hour support services. Target population are individuals discharging from CVH. The Residential Aide maintains the physical environment and program standards to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and any other licensing standard. They monitor medications of all residents in accordance with the Adult residential medication policy and procedure. The role effectively utilizes appropriate communication methods/tools to transfer information to other staff regarding the day’s events. The Residential Aide teaches and assists all residents in areas of rehab including: nutrition and healthy living, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home care skills. They also assist/manage administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor, and prepare and facilitate educational and skill-building groups and one-to-one interventions as directed by the treatment plan. The role collaborates and coordinates care with providers and families as needed, and assists residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs. The Residential Aide maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards and participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned. Additional duties as required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience in Human Services with responsible work history.
Valid driver’s license required with good driving record.
CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.
