Residential Advocate (PT) – 7am–3pm
About The Position
Recovering Hope Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Advocate to join their team. This part-time role, 16 hours per week, focuses on helping women and families overcome substance use disorders. The position offers comprehensive training, making experience unnecessary. The Residential Advocate will provide emotional support, oversee recovery activities, assist with daily living tasks, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for clients. This role is crucial in supporting clients through their recovery journey, from intake to discharge.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable with computers and basic tech
- Frequently communicate with employees, parents, clients and other individuals with key relationships. This requires receiving and providing accurate information in writing or verbally, in these situations.
- Frequently reach above shoulder height to reach necessary items, including supplies, medications, etc.
- Frequently complete repetitive tasks.
- Sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Lift up to 60 lbs. from floor to waist height.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate recovery activities and support clients with daily living tasks.
- Engage with clients, their children, and families with compassion.
- Conduct room checks, transport clients, and maintain building security.
- Keep client records updated and handle essential administrative tasks.
- Assist with intake, discharge, and visiting hours.
