About The Position

The Residential ABA Manager is responsible for leading, directing and monitoring treatment services for Damar’s Children’s Residential Intensive Autism Services program. In this capacity, the Residential ABA Manager will actively promote agency philosophy in the delivery of services and perform essential job duties and responsibilities in accordance with Damar’s Strategic Plan and requirements by licensure.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of Supervisory/ Management experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years working with adolescents, operating budgets, and knowledge of state and federal regulations.
  • Must be able to provide proof of one the following: Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of work experience working with behavioral challenges and/or individuals identifying with the DD/ID population; or 2 years of college and 2 years of work experience working with behavioral challenges and/or individuals identifying with the DD/ID population; or High school diploma/GED and 4 years working with behavioral challenges and/or individuals identifying with the DD/ID population
  • Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification if working in children’s residential home/unit licensed by Dept. of Child Services (DCS).
  • Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and oversees the day-to-day residential operations of assigned campus building or group home.
  • Manages all employee functions of on the job training, coaching and mentoring, performance appraisals, and performance management functions.
  • Manages the on-boarding new staff to appropriately acclimate staff to Damar expectations around client care, service excellence, active supervision and the like while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
  • Completes outing sheets and off-ground checklist and ensure clients are safe to go for an off-ground outing.
  • Remains up to date on treatment best practices to ensure to proactively meet client demands.
  • Ensures all IATs complete appropriate training and certification related to autism-specific services
  • Acts as a liaison between the IAS and ABA programs
  • Completes daily schedule of ABA therapy for IAS clients and actively communicates this schedule with the IAS leadership team
